My Story

I am an art teacher in the New York City public school system. My background is in drawing painting and graphic design. Giving is my love language. A year ago I was thinking of a great birthday present idea for a close loved one. I decided to personalize a denim jacket with the first name initial of the birthday girl on the back. This brought on a lot of attention in my family and social circles. Mel Mode Designs was born. When I am not painting custom items, I am teaching high school graphic design in New York City. When I am not teaching or painting custom items, I am at home spending time with my husband, son and puppy (she is 9 but still a puppy to me ). I create because I love it. I cannot wait to share my creations with you.
